What is a Facial?

How Glycation Affects The Skin
June 27, 2017

What is a facial? I get asked this question more often than not, and it surprises me how many men and women do not know what a facial is, or have never had one. Your skin is the largest organ of your body; it is important to address and maintain the health of your skin.

A facial is correct skin care therapy to suit your skin type, conditions, and needs. Proper cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, massage, masque treatment, and of course always SPF!!!

Receiving facials monthly has many long term benefits. Extractions in a facial are going to help keep your pores cleaned out, and to rid of any bacteria from acne/breakouts. Everyone’s skin is different, some individuals may need more extractions than others. It depends on the current state and condition your skin is in. Facial massage is also key, it increases blood flow and relaxes the muscles in your face. This will help with the aging of the skin, keeping fine lines and wrinkles lessened. Self care is also very important. Facials are not only going to help your skin, but they are very rewarding to your well being and state of mind. – Mary Weeks
